Jesus turns water into wine and listens to human appeals. Jesus cares about those who are left out of His Father's house and wants all people to have access to the Father.  Who are we forgetting that God has called to the table and the house of God? We were excluded (as Gentiles) but He brought us into the family.

When the disciples meet Jesus they can't help but tell their friends. They encountered something unique and amazing about Jesus. They were excited and intrigued by Jesus. What could be so meaningful to leave everything and follow this strange man? We also talk about how the disciples attempted to make Jesus a political figure and although they were very incorrect, He is patient with them and still chooses them.

What does it mean that Jesus was there "in the beginning" — and why didn't the world recognize Him when He arrived?

We look at why John opens his gospel so differently from Matthew, Mark, and Luke; what it tells us that Jesus is called "the Word" and "the light"; and why Jesus responded with patience to seekers but firmness with religious gatekeepers who claimed to speak for God.
We also sit with one of the most quietly staggering truths in Scripture: that those who receive Jesus are given the right to become children of God. Not employees. Not distant admirers. Children.
